The short version
- Your tasks and content belong to you. We only use them to run Nexdo for you.
- Nexdo's AI can get things wrong — double-check anything important, especially deadlines.
- Use Nexdo lawfully, and don't try to break it, abuse it or get at other people's data.
- You can stop using Nexdo and delete your account whenever you like.
- Nexdo is free to use. Nexdo Pro is an optional subscription, billed by the App Store or Google Play, that you can cancel there at any time.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Nexdo (“Nexdo,” “we,” “us”). They apply when you use the Nexdo app for iPhone, iPad and Android and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Who can use Nexdo
You must be at least 13 years old to use Nexdo. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf. You also confirm that you're not barred from using the Service under the laws that apply to you.
3. Your account
You can create an account with your email address or by signing in with Google or Apple. Please give accurate information and keep access to your email and sign-in methods secure — you're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has accessed it, tell us right away at nexdo.support@gmail.com.
4. The Service
Nexdo helps you capture, organize and prioritize your tasks, using AI to extract tasks from what you type, say or photograph and to suggest what to work on next. We're always improving it, so features may be added, changed or removed over time. Some settings in the app are there ahead of the features they control, and the app says so where that's the case. Reminders are scheduled by your phone, so their delivery depends on its notification settings. We may occasionally pause the Service for maintenance or updates.
Nexdo is free to use. Its AI features come with a monthly allowance, and Nexdo Pro is an optional paid subscription with larger ones — see section 5.
5. Nexdo Pro and subscriptions
Free and Pro. On the Free plan, adding and organizing tasks by hand, the Next page and reminders are unlimited, and the AI features come with a monthly allowance — a number of AI chat messages, photos and documents, minutes of voice notes, and AI breakdowns and advice. Nexdo Pro is an optional paid subscription with larger allowances and Magic mic. The app shows each plan's current allowances before you subscribe, and what you've used so far under Settings → Nexdo Pro.
Allowances. Allowances belong to your account and start again on the first day of each calendar month (UTC). Unused amounts don't carry over, can't be transferred and have no cash value. A request the AI fails to answer isn't counted. We may change what a plan includes; if a change reduces what a paid plan includes, it applies from your next renewal and we'll tell you beforehand.
Billing. Nexdo Pro is sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play, as a monthly or a yearly plan. The price, including any taxes the store adds, is shown before you confirm and is charged to your store account. Apple or Google processes the payment under its own terms; we never receive your card or bank details.
Renewal and cancelling. A subscription renews automatically for the same period, at the price then in effect, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or from Settings → Nexdo Pro → Manage subscription. After you cancel, you keep Nexdo Pro until the end of the period you've paid for; your account then returns to the Free plan, and none of your tasks or other content is removed. Uninstalling the app or deleting your Nexdo account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it with the store first.
Free trials. If a plan is offered with a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. The store decides who is eligible for a trial.
Price changes. If the price of a plan changes, the new price applies from a later renewal. The store will notify you first, and ask for your agreement where the law or its own rules require it.
Refunds. Because the stores take the payment, refund requests go to Apple or Google under their refund policies. Except where the law says otherwise, payments aren't refunded for a period that has already started. Nothing in this section limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, such as a right to withdraw from a purchase.
Your account. Nexdo Pro applies to the Nexdo account you were signed in to when you subscribed, on any device you sign in on.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the tasks, notes, messages, photos, recordings, documents and anything else you create or upload (“Your Content”).
So that we can run the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display Your Content — only as needed to operate, provide and improve the Service for you. That includes sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy, such as our AI provider, to get you results. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies kept for a short period in backups.
You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to upload it.
7. AI features
Nexdo's AI generates task titles, deadlines, time estimates, priority suggestions, step-by-step plans and advice automatically. These outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date — a date might be read wrong, or an estimate might be off. Priority scores and recommendations are guidance, not guarantees.
- Check anything important yourself, especially deadlines.
- Don't rely on Nexdo for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical decisions, or for time-critical obligations where a mistake could cause harm.
- You're responsible for the decisions you make and the actions you take.
By default, the Assistant asks before it changes your tasks. If you turn on Auto mode, it applies changes without asking first. As between you and us, you own the outputs generated from Your Content, to the extent the law allows.
8. Acceptable use
When you use Nexdo, don't:
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights, including their privacy or intellectual property;
- upload content that's illegal, harmful, harassing or malicious, including malware;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around our security, access rules or rate limits;
- use Nexdo's servers or AI features as a general-purpose AI service, or send automated or bulk requests to them;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the Service, except where the law expressly allows it;
- interfere with, disrupt or overload the Service or the systems it runs on;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission; or
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection with anyone.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service — including the app, this website, the Nexdo name and gem logo, and our design and software — belongs to us and our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Nexdo app on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the rules of the app store you got it from. These Terms don't give you any other rights in the Service.
10. Feedback
We love hearing ideas. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Nexdo without any obligation to you.
11. Third-party services
The Service works with services run by other companies — for example Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple, and the app stores. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we're not responsible for them.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Nexdo at any time, and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account (see how account deletion works).
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we have to for legal reasons, or if we stop offering the Service. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you in advance and give you a chance to get a copy of Your Content. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should continue after your use ends — such as sections 6, 13, 14 and 16 — will continue.
13. Disclaimers
We work hard to make Nexdo reliable, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss. Please keep your own copy of anything critical.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Nexdo won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law — for example for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence — or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top, and for significant changes we'll give you reasonable notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Nexdo after that, you're agreeing to the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Nexdo is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in your local courts.
If something's wrong, please talk to us first at nexdo.support@gmail.com — most problems can be sorted out quickly and informally.
17. App store terms
If you downloaded Nexdo from Apple's App Store: these Terms are between you and Nexdo, not Apple, and Nexdo — not Apple — is responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or claims that it infringes someone else's intellectual property. You confirm that you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting,” and that you're not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
If you downloaded Nexdo from Google Play: Google Play's terms of service also apply to your download and use of the app.
